Hanging on heavy iron chains directly above the cathedral doors are massive, prehistoric bones—historically believed to belong to the dragon itself! Modern science reveals they are actually fossilized remains of a woolly rhinoceros, a mammoth, and a blue whale, hung there in medieval times as a protective talisman. A famous local legend warns that if these sacred 'dragon bones' ever fall to the ground, the world will come to an end!
